Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow, was the UK’s first UNESCO City of Music. Known for its vibrant music and arts scene along with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. A reflection of the fun side of this city is the iconic landmark of the Duke of Wellington, outside the Gallery of Modern Art, with a traffic cone on his head.
Places we recommend to visit include the many museums and galleries including Kelvingrove, The Burrell Collection and The Hunterian. For music lovers The Barrowlands (aka Barras), King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and The Old Fruitmarket. Head to the West End known for it’s Victorian architecture and home of Ashton Lane and the beautiful buildings of the University of Glasgow. Loch Lomond is also a short drive away.
