Golf in the East & West of Scotland
The Ayrshire coastline sees perhaps the greatest concentration of golf courses in Scotland. For miles bordering the Clyde estuary, courses link to form a golfing paradise, all within easy reach of Glasgow – Scotland’s largest city, with its superb and varied museums, the best shopping in the UK outside London, and myriad of bars and restaurants.
The area boasts more than its fair share of major courses. Prestwick was the venue for the first Open, and both Troon and Turnberry still feature regularly on the rota. The local qualifying courses (Western Gailes, Gailes Links, Barassie, Irvine Bogside and Prestwick St Nicholas) all rate a mention, whilst golfers seeking a different challenge will enjoy the parkland course of Ayr Belleisle, one of several excellent public courses in the area.
The itinerary suggested is only a sample. The price will depend on the type of accommodation required. We use 3/4/5 star hotels. Please contact our office for a quote.
