Day 1

Arrive into Edinburgh Airport with a private transfer into the city centre. Afternoon hop-on hop-off tour of the city centre including a visit to Edinburgh Castle. Overnight Edinburgh

Day 2

Full day in Edinburgh including a tour of the Scotch Whisky Experience and time to discover your family tartan on the Royal Mile. Overnight Edinburgh

Day 3

Collect your rental car and travel north over the Queensferry Crossing into the Kingdom of Fife. Optional visit to St Andrews to view the historic Old Course or visit the Fair City of Perth and tour Scone Palace. Afternoon distillery tour followed by a wee dram of single malt whisky. Overnight Inverness

Day 4

Cruise on Loch Ness including a visit to Urquhart Castle. Afternoon at leisure in the Inverness area with the option to visit the haunting battlefield at Culloden and Fort George. Overnight Inverness

Day 5

Travel south through the majestic mountain scenery of the Great Glen, passing Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and magnificent Ben Nevis near Fort William. Take a side trip into Glencoe, stunning Scottish scenery at its very best. Overnight Oban

Day 6

Relaxing day trip by boat and bus to the Isle of Mull, part of the Inner Hebrides, and on to the tranquility of the tiny island of Iona. Overnight Oban

Day 7

Tour south from Oban, with the option to visit Crarae Gardens and pass by the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Afternoon at leisure in Scotland’s second city – Glasgow. Overnight Glasgow

Day 8

Return rental car and depart from Glasgow Airport.
