Sample Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Dublin Airport, collect rental car and travel North. Visit the 18th century Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. This is the official residence for King Charles III in Northern Ireland and the Secretary of State also resides there. Overnight Antrim area.
Day 2
Breakfast in hotel, check out and travel to Dunluce Castle. Dunluce Castle is possibly the most dramatic-looking castle on the island as it sits along the Causeway coastline teetering over the Atlantic Ocean. Continue your journey on to Castle Coole in Fermanagh. Wonderfully preserved by the National Trust, Castle Coole is one of Northern Ireland’s finest Neo-classical houses. The remaining original features and décor allow visitors to get a peek at what life was like in the home of the Earls of Belmore. Overnight Enniskillen.
Day 3
Breakfast in hotel, check out and tracvel to Belvedere Castle and Gardens in County Westmeath. Finish your day with a trip to Castletown House in Kildare. The Guinness family rescued this Palladian house from ruin in the 1960s and it’s been lovingly restored ever since. The guided tours and café are open from March to September. Overnight Dublin area.
Day 4
Breakfast in hotel then travel to Powerscourt Gardens and Estate in County Wicklow. With views of magnificent manicured grounds against the background of the rugged Wicklow Mountains it is one not to miss. Overnight Dublin area.
Day 5
Breakfast in hotel. Check out and return rental car to the airport.
