    Day 1

Take the ferry from Cairnryan or Liverpool to Belfast.  You may want to immerse yourself in life 2000 years ago with a visit to the Navan Centre & Fort. As the ancient seat of Kings and home of the Red Branch Knights, the legendary Emain Macha (Navan Fort) is one of Ireland’s most famous and important archaeological sites. Walk in the footsteps of warriors as your guide explains the significance of the great temple of 95BC and shows you the remaining banks and ditches, before inviting you to meet the resident Celtic clan!

Alternatively you could visit the Ulster American Folk Park just outside Omagh, in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. With more than 30 exhibit buildings to explore, the museum tells the story of three centuries of Irish emigration.

You will be spending the next 2 nights staying on Lusty Beg Island, a unique and utterly charming destination offering the perfect location to relax and unwind.  A short 5-minute ferry transports you to a natural haven where you will be greeted by the infamous Fermanagh welcome!

    Day 2

Spend the day enjoying the activities on offer on Lusty Beg Island.  Set amongst the beautiful lake-side woodlands there is a restaurant, a retreat spa, an activity centre, nature trail and fairy trail. Some of the activities on offer include archery, canoeing and power boating!  All activities can be booked and paid for locally on day of arrival.

    Day 3

Once you depart the Island you will journey north towards Coleraine.  On the way stop off at Glenshane Country Farm where Jamese McCloy who is a fourth-generation shepherd will demonstrate sheep farming and particularly his highly trained team of working sheepdogs. The farm is set deep on the beautiful, little-known landscape of the Sperrin Mountains.

Next stop we recommend is at Friels Bar and Restaurant for a spot of lunch.  Friels Historic Bar and Restaurant was established in 1837.  In its early days was used as a soup kitchen in the Great Famine of the 1840s. It had various owners throughout the late 1800s, where its main use was a Hotel and an Inn with a Post Office. It is currently run by the fifth generation of the Friel family.

    Overnight Coleraine.

    Day 4

The Giant’s Causeway is flanked by the wild North Atlantic Ocean and the landscape of dramatic cliffs.  There are a few different trails which allow you to explore Northern Ireland’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Nearby and if you are feeling brave why not try the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge.  Connected to the cliffs by a rope bridge across the Atlantic Ocean, Carrick-a-Rede Island (home to a single building – a fisherman’s cottage) is the final destination.  Suspended almost 100 ft (30 m) above sea level, the rope bridge was first erected by salmon fishermen over 250 years ago.

If all of that hasn’t tired you out yet why not spend the afternoon visiting the Edge Watersports Centre where you can try out activities like paddle boarding and a ride on a banana boat!

    Overnight Coleraine.

    Day 5

Travelling south towards Belfast you may wish to visit Carrickfergus Caste on the north shore of Belfast Lough. Besieged in turn by the Scots, Irish, English and French, the castle played an important military role until 1928 and remains one of the best preserved structures in Northern Ireland.

Spend the afternoon visiting Titanic Belfast a monument to Belfast’s maritime heritage on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard in the city’s Titanic Quarter where the RMS Titanic was built.  Titanic Belfast extends over nine interactive galleries, with multiple dimensions to the exhibition, drawing together special effects, dark rides, full-scale reconstructions and innovative interactive features. Explore the shipyard, travel to the depths of the ocean and uncover the true legend of Titanic, in the city where it all began.

    Overnight Hilton Templepatrick.

    Day 6

Visit the Colin Glen Forest Park on the outskirts of Belfast.  Home to a range of wildlife, the Forest Park offers beautiful walks and exhilarating runs as well as a range of spectacular outdoor activities for all ages.  including the NEW Colin Glen Coaster, our famous Gruffalo Story Walk, SKYTrek ropes courses, archery, laser tag and home to the ultimate zip line!
