Borough Market, London

There is nowhere better in London to sample artisan cheese, freshly baked bread and pots of international cuisine than at Borough Market in southeast London. Borough Market is one of the largest and oldest markets in London, having been trading since the 12th century, at least. Located right beside London Bridge station, visitors can easily reach the market from all other parts of London. The retail market is open from Mondays to Saturdays at varied times. 

Chapel Down Winery, Kent

The highly acclaimed Chapel Down Winery is located amid the rolling Kent countryside and is one of England’s leading winemakers. The winery produces a world-class collection of sparkling and still wines, as well as gin, vodka, beer and cider. All drinks are created from the winery’s vineyards and herb garden. Cadbury World, Birmingham

Cadbury World features 14 different zones in which visitors explore on a self-guided tour, learning about the history of Cadbury and chocolate-making. The popular family attraction in Birmingham also features a 4D ‘Chocolate Adventure’ cinema experience with motion seats, the Crunchie Rollercoaster and the Cadbury Crème Egg airship. A trip to Cadbury World makes the perfect family day out. 

Viviers Fish Market, Portsmouth 

Situated by the picturesque Camber Dock fishing marina, Viviers Fish Market offers some of the freshest seafood on the south coast of England. Viviers Fish Market was established in 1985 and has been serving fresh fish, crab, lobster and shellfish seven days a week ever since. The market works with many restaurants, bars and other food establishments in the local area which also serve the locally sourced fresh seafood and fish.

Laverstoke Mill, Hampshire

Laverstoke Mill in the Hampshire countryside has famously produced the world-renowned gin, Bombay Sapphire, since the mid 1800s. The history of the Mill itself is recorded as far back as the 1086 Doomsday Book and has been under the ownership of William the Conqueror and Henry VIII. It was only in 2014 the distillery opened its doors to the public, offering guided tours of the Mill and Gin Cocktail Masterclasses with one of the Mill’s gin experts.
