The London St. Patrick’s Special
The mayor of London is partnering with the London Irish Centre to provide The London St. Patrick’s Special. The virtual event will begin at 4pm (GTZ) on March 17th and will be hosted by London Irish Centre Ambassador, Angela Scanlon and friends. The St Patrick’s Day Special will celebrate the very best of Irish culture and community in London with story-telling on Irish culture and heritage, film, music, dance and so much more. The event is completely free and will be available on the London Irish Centre’s website and social media.
NYC St. Patrick’s Day virtual parade 2021
Nowhere else celebrates St Patrick’s Day quite like New York City. The NYC St Patrick’s Day parade is the oldest and largest parade in the world and has marched on the streets of NYC every year since 1762. This year will mark the 260th St Patrick’s Day parade in New York City. You can tune in to a live broadcast of the St Patrick’s Day mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral at 8.30am (ETZ) or 12:30pm (GTZ) before the parade is streamed at 10am (ETZ) or 2pm (GTZ).
SPF TV St Patrick’s Day Festival 2021
St Patrick’s Festival TV (SPF TV) is a channel dedicated to St Patrick’s Day and is accessible globally. Usually taking place on the streets of Dublin, St Patrick’s Day Festival will instead be steamed on SPF TV, running from March 12th – 17th. The festival will feature more than 100 events, created by artists, performers and makers from all across Ireland. You can tune into the events in real time or catch up with them later; there’s something new on every day from 9.30am – 10pm. Tune in and check out the full TV guide here.
Tourism Ireland’s St Patrick’s Day at Home
This year, Tourism Ireland brings you St Patrick’s Day at Home. Tune in from 7pm – 8:30pm (GTZ) on March 17th on Tourism Ireland’s Facebook page or Youtube channel to watch the show from three of Ireland’s most loved pubs. The Celtic Drummers will kick off the event with an opening ceremony in Dublin, while the folk and vocal group, Shamrock Tenors, will join from Belfast. The world-famous Riverdance is also set to make an appearance as well as other special guests throughout the night.
St. Patrick’s Day Virtual Reception by the Embassy of Ireland
At this time of year, the Irish Embassy would usually be preparing to welcome members of the Irish community and friends of Ireland in Great Britain to the Embassy throughout St Patrick’s week. The St. Patrick’s Day Virtual Reception will take place on Eventbrite at 1:15pm (GTZ) on March 17th. There is a fantastic musical line up for the event, as well as an introduction from Ambassador Adrian O’niell and a message from Taoiseach Micheál Martin. Get your free tickets from Eventbrite here.
